I love it when I learn a new word. Today’s word is Frisson (1). Frisson is when you have a sudden strong feeling of excitement or fear; a thrill.
It is when you get a tingling sensation on your skin, like goosebumps or chills. Perhaps you have felt it when you hear a moving piece of music or see something that touches you.
Yesterday, I gave my Guide me to an inspiring vision workshop. When I listened to some of the visions that people saw for their future, I felt frisson on my arms and legs. Their words really touched me. I felt their excitement and I was excited for them too.
Do you have an inspiring vision that moves you? One that both excites you and scares you a little bit too. Scares you because it’s out of your comfort zone but in a good way?
One way to see a vision is to look at who inspires you. What are they doing? What’s inspiring about it? Would you like to be doing what they are doing? Do you feel it in your body? Does it make you want to cry?
Can you imagine yourself doing this? What can you see, hear, smell, taste and touch? What are you feeling? Really feel everything you can, immerse yourself in the vision helping it to feel more and more real.
Are you getting frisson?
