“Remember that the happiest people are not those getting more, but those giving more.” Robin Sharma.
Elif Tepebasi (1), a friend of mine, told me about a 21-day abundance meditation given by Deepak Chopra (2) and offered to send it to me daily on WhatsApp. I started listening and really enjoyed them. Every day, she sent me through a link so I could listen. After 21 days, she asked if I would like her to continue sending and I accepted her generous and kind offer.
I felt really blessed to have a good friend think of me and take the time to do this for me. Combined with the messages in the meditation, I realized just how lucky I am in so many areas of my life. After the second round finished, I offered to send them back to her.
It is so nice to be able to give. I cannot recommend it more. When you give, you are not only helping others, you are also helping yourself. There are so many ways we can give, we can give money to a cause, quality time with a friend, a kind word to a colleague, a helping hand to a neighbour, a like on social media to a small business owner, a share where you feel others would benefit, a thoughtful gift and many other ways. It doesn’t always have to be big, it can be something small and thoughtful.
What could you give today?
