It’s Saturday night, it’s 11.13pm and I’m starting (not finishing) to write this blog post. When I worked for a company, I often worked long hours, but it would be unusual for me to be working on a Saturday night. I would more likely be found curled up on the sofa watching a movie.
I managed to get my little boy to bed around 9.30pm, so I had a couple of hours spare to get the links to previous and next blog posts onto each page working. This has been on my to-do list since I started writing these blogs. Since I managed to get it done, please take the opportunity to click through and read some other blog posts when you finish reading this. 🙂
One of the things people think when they have their own business is that they will have flexibility over their hours and it’s true, you do. What also happens and what people don’t always expect is that you often end up working way way way more hours than in your corporate job.
This is partly because you love what you are doing so time just flies as you get into the flow. It is partly because there is always something more you can do for your business. Plus whatever you do is for you and growing your business so you don’t mind working late on a Saturday night.
Now it’s time for bed. (1)
Footnotes
1) My husband told me to use a picture of me writing this blog post in my pyjamas but I refused 🙂
Sounds familiar 😅
It’s very user friendly with the links – it was worth the saturday night effort 🙂
Thanks Eleonore, glad you find them useful 🙂
