I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again and again… if only to remind myself. Schedule it, stick it, put it, whatever you want to call it into your calendar. Otherwise, it may never get done.

For some people, especially Obligers (1), those who need accountability, it will be even easier to do something if there is someone else involved.

For example, I wanted to fix something in the flat, so booked a professional service and scheduled the time in the calendar. I know the area needs to be cleared before they come, which gives me a deadline, something that I can work with.

The same thing applies to my exercise class, it’s in the calendar and there’s someone counting on me to be there so there’s more chance of me showing up knowing that I don’t want to let the person down.

I know myself, If it’s only myself and no one attached to the calendar entry, I might let it slip. I went through my calendar entries to make sure that I had accountability in some shape or form so it can work.

If there is something you have been meaning to do for absolutely ages, the moment you finish reading this, please, not for my sake but for your own, schedule it into your calendar now and make yourself accountable. Congratulations you are one step closer to getting it done.
