I have a bit of a dilemma. I would say my natural inclination is being a night owl. I like to work in the evenings because I love what I do and often want to get things done before the next day. However, if I work in the evenings until too late, I’m pumped up so can’t get myself to sleep.
At other times, when I have gone to bed early, I truly appreciate the night’s sleep and feel good in the morning so can work well too. However, I didn’t get a few more hours in the night before. What should one do?
My husband, on the other hand, is definitely a morning lark and is super productive in the mornings. For him, it is clear, he would rather wake up early and work instead of working in the evenings.
What’s probably the worst for me is if I spend the evening surfing social media or watching episode after episode on Netflix, then I go to bed late and wake up groggy. That usually ends rather badly because I can’t focus, I snack on unhealthy snacks because I’m tired and then I feel bad about it, etc, etc.
So after all the to-ing and fro-ing, what is the moral of my story?
Only you know what’s right for you. For me, it’s going to bed early ☺
