Someone told me they were waiting for a reorganization to happen at their company to see how their position was affected. I could feel myself intake breath as it reminded me of the waiting place.
The waiting place is from one of my favourite books – Oh the Places you’ll go (1) by Dr. Seuss. Don’t be fooled that this book is for kids, there’s a lot of life wisdom in there.
Here’s the waiting place from the book…
“…for people just waiting.
Waiting for a train to go
or a bus to come, or a plane to go
or the mail to come, or the rain to go
or the phone to ring, or the snow to snow
or the waiting around for a Yes or No
or waiting for their hair to grow.
Everyone is just waiting.

or waiting around for Friday night

That’s not for you!”
We can spend a lot of time waiting around and it’s a waste of our precious time. Rather take the bull by the horns, decide what you want, go out there and ask for it, create it, make it, do what it takes ….just don’t wait around.
