And if they don’t, something’s wrong with your to-do list. My friend had just attended a seminar and he shared this golden nugget he got from it.
I had heard of this before but had forgotten. It was a timely reminder. I know myself that I can easily get caught up with small tasks and forget the bigger picture.
A friend of mine recently sent me a short audio clip of him playing the guitar. It was dedicated to his children. We used to set yearly goals together (before we had kids). He said he checked off a goal. I remember vaguely that he wanted to play the guitar. Over the past couple of years, he had been attending guitar lessons. He said he had had this goal on his list for 20 years. Great that he pursued it and made it happen.
Some people like to plan. They like to have goals and things they want to do in the world. The world is an amazing place and there’s a lot of opportunities so if you want to do something, it makes sense to have a plan
The first question is do you have a goal list? If not, do you want one? I know that not everyone wants one and that is fine too. If you do have one, do the goals still reflect what you want in life. If they do, align your todos.
