We all have tasks we tend to put off, whether it’s completing a report, getting those digital photos into an album or sending out a newsletter 😉 We’ve all been there, done that and have the T-shirts to show for it.

Recently I was asked by Sara Tendero to be a guest for her podcast “Brain Hacks” which uncovers how the brain works, taking your performance to the next level. I immediately said yes… not giving myself a chance to procrastinate this time 🙂

During our conversation, we explored the common roots of procrastination, often tracing them back to our formative years. It could have been something a parent or teacher said, a bully in the school playground or not being invited to a birthday party. It’s incredible how our subconscious mind tries to protect us from feelings of rejection, criticism, or inadequacy, even when we’re not consciously aware of it.

In the podcast, aptly titled “Beating the Thief of Time”, we share insights into overcoming procrastination and discuss various techniques, including one of my personal favourites, the Pomodoro Technique*, which I’m using right now to write this newsletter.
